Accupeel TCA Mask

TCA or Trichloroacetic acid is one of the most commonly used facial skin resurfacing agents. A liquid formulation has been safely and successfully used for decades, by dermatologist and plastic surgeons worldwide.

The AccuPeel TCA mask is a cream formulation of TCA. By a process called Chelation, AccuPeel TCA mask delivers a superficial peel. It can be delivered by liquid TCA, but the AccuPeel TCA mask delivers it with less pain and stinging, faster and more predictable healing, and smoother application.

The Blue Peel by Obagi

The Obagi Blue Peel uses Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) as the active ingredient mixed with the patented Blue Base from Obagi. The Obagi Blue Peel is applied, based on your level of damage and your desired level of transformation.

The Obagi Blue Peel procedure takes less than an hour in your physician's office and does not typically require sedation. Your skin care professional will apply the Blue Peel typically to your face and neck.

A mild burning sensation will occur that generally lasts only a few minutes. Then you may experience a bluish tint to your skin that usually washes off in 12 to 24 hours. Your skin care professional will advise you on how many peels are needed to give you the desired result.

Depending on the strength and depth following the procedure, you will experience light swelling. Within two to three days, your skin will begin to peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By the seventh to tenth day, your skin should be healed.

Once your skin has completely recovered and is finished peeling, you will notice a visible improvement in your complexion. Your skin's appearance should continue to improve for the next four to six weeks, becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier and more youthful looking.

The Micropeel®

The Micropeel® is a three-step process that removes a micro-thin top layer of skin. The top layer is a significant obstruction to having better skin because it is pore-clogged. The procedure is safe, effective and is accomplished in 15-20 minutes.

1. The first step is a five minute, physical or enzymatic exfoliation of the skin. This frees the skin of dead cellular layers and protein. By reducing the top layer of the skin, it also lessens the appearance of fine lines and brown spots. A change in skin texture can be felt right away by brushing your hand across your cheek.

2. In the second step, a 15-30% Alpha Hydroxy Acid solution is applied. It will stay on the skin for at least 10 seconds, but no more than two minutes. A slight stinging sensation may be felt, but it is only momentary and quite normal. This part of the Micropeel® helps to reduce acne related conditions by freeing impacted debris from the pores. This step is not recommended for sensitive skin.

3. The third and final step of the MicroPeel® is a skin freezing process called Cryogenic Therapy. Carbon dioxide is applied to the face in light, circular motions. Immediately the coolness causes an anti-inflammatory response. Pores look smaller. Sun damaged cells are cast off. Oil and blackheads are unblocked. The surface of the skin becomes smoother.

The Micropeel® Plus

The Micropeel® Plus is a fifteen minute in-office procedure that will help smooth fine lines and help even skin discoloration while simultaneously reducing the appearance of acne scars and environmental damage to the skin.

The Micropeel® Plus procedure stimulates cell turnover through the application of salicylic acid in the form of microcrystals using MicroSponge® technology. These microcrystals target the exact areas on the skin that need improvement. The MicroPeel® Plus aggressively outperforms other superficial chemical peels by freeing the skin of all dead cells while doing no damage to the skin.

The MicroPeel® works in two ways. First, it loosens the bond of dead cells on the surface of your skin. By loosening this bond, the MicroPeel® Plus is able to remove these dead cells from the skin's surface revealing the new cells underneath. The result is immediate improvement in the smoothness and radiance of your skin that you can really see and feel.

Secondly, when the dead cells are removed, the MicroPeel® Plus stimulates the new, living cells in your skin to reactivate the renewal process. Reactivation of the renewal process will lead to long-lasting skin health and vitality.
